XINARA VILLAGE  10 - 15 minutes from Tinos's main town and port, the 18th-century village is pedestrian with a free carpark. Though at the village centre, we are not overlooked and the gardens are enclosed with old stone walls. An all-day bar with food will open near us in June.

BLACKSMITHS' TERRACE Seating, with a table beneath a tree scented with white blossom (Blacksmiths guests).

HOUSE ENTRANCE TERRACE  Bougainvillea, old Greek pots, pretty pebble-pattern paving. An 8-seat marble table and chairs. (House guests).

MARBLE TERRACE 150m² terrace with loungers(above). Outdoor kitchen with seating and original wood-fired oven. Pergola with ten-seater table. Traditional Tinos dovecote, walnut, lemon and orange trees (House guests).

GARDENS Private terraced garden to wander amongst ancient olives, cactus and citrus trees, or hang-out up at the pool terrace. There is a newly-planted vineyard for our own rosé from 2023, plus fruit and vegetable gardens where guests can help themselves, and chickens for fresh eggs (House guests).

XINARA VILLAGE A quiet car-free village typical of Tinos with old houses, two churches, two public laundries (from the past) and lots of cats.

WALKS Old partly-paved tracks lead directly from Xinara House to the mountain, down to old villages, the port, and to beaches. See TINOS

BEACHES One of the best of the island's beachs, Kolymbithra - safe, sandy and with a nice bar - is a short drive from the house. See TINOS

EATING OUT There are lots of excellent village tavernas neareby, plus restaurants in the town and around the island. See TINOS
