Town restaurant, Chora. 12 mins.

Ambitious dishes from French chef Valentine using excellent local ingredients. Very good ice cream.


Marathia
Beach restaurant, Ag. Fokas. 13 mins.
Tel: 2283 023249.

Mediterranean. Choose to eat in the beach building next to the waves.


Maru
Harbour restaurant, Panormos, 35 mins.

Elaborately presented, but excellent and inventive cooking. Good value too.


Svoura
Town restaurant, Komi, 10 mins (and possible to walk on old tracks, 50 mins).

Eat under the plane trees in the village square. Smart simple dishes.


Tarsanas
Harbour fish restaurant, Chora 13 mins.
Tel: 2283 024667.

Simple white-painted style. A locals' regular. Fish, good squid and excellant taramasalata.


Tereza
Country taverna. Mirsini 18 mins.

Traditional well-cooked country food cooked by Tereza with her husband and daughter. In their charming village shop and terrace.


To Plokami
Town centre 'ouzeri'. Chora 13 mins.

Good, typically basic menu to accompany drinks in a modest traditional environment. Music sometimes.


To Thalassaki

Expensive, the most well-known restaurant on Tinos.
